SRI YATHEENDRAAL‘S FAME - AS REMEMBERED BY HIS FAMILY MEMBERS

In 1969 Rajagopalan and his family were in Mandya, Mysore State  They happened to meet Si Andavan Swamigal who was camping there. Swamigal enquired about the family, native village etc., of Rajagopalan. On telling the Swamigal about his native village being Siddhamalli of Mannargudy Taluka, immediately Sri Andavan Swamigal asked Rajagopalan about Sri Subramania Sastrigal . Sri Andavan Swamigal at once  recalled and said that he had  learnt Sastras,Vedas Upanishads etc. from Subramania Sastrigal. Andavan Swamigal also praised Sri Subramania Sastrigal as MAHAN. When Rajagopalan informed about his relationship (Rajagopalan is  the son of Vembu Iyer, brother of Sri Subramania Sastrigal), Sri Andavan Swamigal became very happy and accorded warm reception to him and Blessed him with shawls and Prasadams. Sri Andavan Swamigal explained about our Sastrigal's fame to the thousands of audience gathered there!! Such was the fame of Sri Subramania Yatheendraal.
